
Anup Adhikari is a seasoned public health professional with expertise in health education, clinical research, and project management. He holds a Master’s degree in Population Studies from Tribhuvan University. Anup has extensive experience in conducting clinical studies in Nepal, which have resulted in the publication of over 15 journal papers, including articles in The New England Journal of Medicine and The Lancet Global Health.
From 2016 to 2021, Anup worked as the Research Field Team Leader at the Nepal Family Development Foundation. In this role, he managed projects related to enteric fever and typhoid vaccine clinical trials in partnership with Oxford University and the Patan Academy of Health Sciences. Anup’s responsibilities included planning, execution, monitoring, and supervision of field teams, as well as coordinating with national and international stakeholders. Before this position, from 2014 to 2016, he was the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at Youth Vision where he designed and implemented M&E systems, estimated the population of injecting drug users and people living with HIV, and developed data collection instruments. Additionally, since 2018, Anup has been serving as a part-time lecturer at Public Health and Nursing College and the National Academy of Medical Sciences (BIR Hospital).
