Youraj Roka is an expert in policy advocacy and the strengthening of health and social systems for older adults. With over 15 years of experience in the field, Mr. Roka has led numerous impactful projects with prominent organizations such as the UNHCR, Save The Children, Geriatric Society of Nepal, Child Development Society, and various national and international development partners. His previous roles include Senior Education Associate at UNHCR, District Coordinator Lead at Save The Children, and Program Lead at Child Development Society, where he coordinated various social development projects and conducted extensive field research.

Mr. Roka holds an MA in Human Rights from Kathmandu School of Law, Bhaktapur, and a Master of Business Studies from St. Xavier’s College, Kathmandu.  As a recipient of the IOM Research Grant, he has conducted significant research on the impact of migration on older adults. Additionally, he led the team for the Senior Citizen Policy Impact Assessment 2024, a study commissioned by the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens.
