
Vijay Aryal is associated with Tribhuvan University (TU), Prithvi Narayan Campus, Pokhara. He was formerly the head of the Department of Population Studies at Prithvi Narayan Campus, Pokhara. He is a Social Demographer and has been teaching various subjects of Population Studies at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s Levels. Currently, he is pursuing an MPhil-PhD Degree at the Central Department of Population Studies, TU, Kirtipur. As a recipient of a research grant from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), he has been working on a research project titled ‘Livelihood and Occupational Transformations due to Foreign Labor Migration among marginalized communities in Kaski, Nepal’. Mr. Aryal obtained his MSc Degree in Human Security from Aarhus University, Denmark in 2014. He has been involved with local-level governments and non-governmental organizations in addressing contemporary research issues and debates in socio-demography. He serves as the Executive Editor of the journal, ‘Asian Journal of Population Sciences’ published by the Department of Population Studies, Prithvi Narayan Campus, Pokhara. Additionally, he has completed several research projects, authored and co-authored journal articles, and published textbooks based on the curricula of Tribhuvan University.
